Strengths and Weaknesses

Updated: Aug 10, 2024

As women, many of us often feel the need to handle everything ourselves. Have you ever felt that way? We tackle tasks from start to finish, not always recognizing the multitude of pieces involved. While we may be confident in our strengths, we often hide our weaknesses, striving to do it all just to say we did. However, it's essential to be humble, to acknowledge our strengths and weaknesses, and to understand that it's okay to ask for help.

My journey into life coaching began unexpectedly. It wasn't my idea, but a patient's gratitude after a conversation we had six months prior. Her appreciation made me realize that I could help others and potentially build a business around it. This new path offered the freedom to spend more time with my family and the flexibility to do things we otherwise couldn’t.

After completing my health coaching certification, I faced the daunting question: What now? I was scared to share my journey, worried about what others might think. One person, however, stood out. She not only offered to help me with the business side of things but followed up to ensure I still wanted her assistance. Despite my insecurities, I accepted her help, recognizing that this was not my area of strength.

Enter Kristen Gilligan, a true rock and support during this transition. Her expertise in starting a business, marketing, and creating plans specifically tailored to me has been invaluable. Kristen has been professional, yet also a friend, seeing potential in me before I saw it in myself. Without her, Navigate with Nina wouldn’t be where it is today.

Kristen's organization, professionalism, and vision are beyond anything I could have hoped for. She makes her work look effortless, and her creativity is incredible. The point of this blog is to remind you that it's okay to have weaknesses and to seek help from others. When you let go of the need to do it all alone, your true ability to shine will emerge. I hope this resonates with you, and offers you the permission you may need to know its ok to ask for help.

In gratitude,

Nina Engstrom CLC, CHC
